Mike Alsop Racing is a passion project that goes beyond racing for the Alsop family. As the owner and operator of multiple Chevrolet dealerships in small towns within Indiana, Mike is the sole sponsor of the team, making it a true family affair. In April 2018, he bought the dealership in Attica, IN, followed by the acquisition of the dealership in Rockville, IN in 2019. In 2022, Mike further expanded his business ventures with the purchase of two more dealerships in Kentland, IN, and Lafayette, IN.

Our Story
Mike has always dreamed of seeing his daughters race, and while the team initially didn't focus on his daughters, they finally managed to field two of his three daughters in COPO's for 2020. The team officially began in 2019 with Mike's son-in-law, Dustin Wheelock, driving a '19 COPO Camaro in the Sam Tech Factory Stock Showdown class. Despite being new to the game, they quickly learned and are continuously gaining new knowledge to further their progress.

Mike's tireless efforts brought the team together, allowing them to travel the country and build genuine relationships with other teams and companies, with the ultimate aim of collaborating with like-minded businesses. Their team motto is "the more the merrier," and they live it out fully.
Mike's daughters are also integral to the team's success. In 2022, his daughter Morgan became the dealership principal for the Kentland location, in addition to serving as the team manager for the race team, bringing her expertise and dedication to both the family's businesses and racing endeavors.
